In February the kids in Room 10 went to visit Mossops Honey Place in Tauriko to learn more about bees.
This was a great trip because we learnt heaps in a very short time.
We saw lots of bees going in and out of some hives. We spotted Queen bees though this wasn't so tricky as they had a dot of twink on their backs to help us locate them.
Of course there was only one Queen bee in each hive.
Soon after that trip the Kea Kids had to entertain the whole school for Assembly.
We learnt some cool songs about bees and made sure we all looked the part by wearing yellow and black patterned head bands.
Performing in front of the school was heaps of fun!!!!!
